In Košice again after a year at the International Peace Marathon
Traditionally, on the first weekend of October - Sunday 6 October 2024 - the 101. International Peace Marathon (MMM), the oldest marathon in Europe, took place in Košice. Among the thousands of runners there were also members of the 5th Special Forces Regiment who participated in the marathon and half-marathon disciplines. They represented our unit not only with sportsmanship, but also with exceptional stamina and determination. In the marathon category, our colleague was the best, covering 42.195 kilometres in a time of 2:47:59. This impressive time is not only a testament to his physical fitness, but also to the strict discipline that characterises all members of the Regiment.
In the half-marathon, our colleagues once again demonstrated their great physical fitness. Their participation in this prestigious event proves that the professional soldiers of the 5th Special Forces Regiment are not only capable of performing demanding tasks in the service, but also excel in civilian sporting activities.
The participation of our soldiers in the MMM was both a sporting success and a demonstration of the determination, perseverance and indomitable spirit that is the symbol of 5 Special Forces Regiment.
